Combustible gases:


UP designs combustible gas detection systems that can proactively protect and warn of potentially dangerous conditions before anything becomes detrimental. Combustible gasses are gases that will ignite upon exposure to a fuse and oxygen.  These gases are essential to our modern society as they are commonly used to generate power in motors from machinery and automobiles, to being used to provide heat in both residential and commercial settings. Combustible gases have without a doubt become an integrated part of our way of life. Although these gases are economical and clean burning they also require a high level of safety precautions. 


UP detection systems are specifically designs a system to parallel your facilities hazards. These systems are composed of only critically selected hardware that meet and exceed all applicable regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, State, and local codes.


Combustible gases can be released into a facility naturally as a byproduct or leaked unintentionally. This presents the hazard of combustion within a facility if the concentration reaches a certain level known as Lower Explosive Limit or LEL. These danger levels are hazard to both life and property and must be addressed by professionals only. Below you find a list common combustible gases and their LEL's.
